Shedding Those Pounds

Well, this week I started up a few pounds from the madness of the holidays. I expected and felt like I had gained 10 pounds over this time period but that was definitely not the case. I was able to be reasonable with my eating habits and not eat so much at one sitting and I actually consumed my food slower and really enjoyed it more as well.

This morning I woke up feeling a bit on the lighter side today and more so than usual today. Typically, I don’t weigh myself until after I get out of the shower in the morning and that is what I did this morning as well. I finished with my shower, dried off and got on the scale. Let me tell you the amusement when I actually looked down at the scale and for the first time since I can remember I actually saw the scale go down below 204 pounds. I weighed 203.8 this morning!

I was so ecstatic that I finally broke down that stubborn 205/204 barrier that had been tormenting me through the holidays. I really thought I had plateaued and was going to have to work in a ton of exercise to get below this level but here it was staring me right in the face this morning! I don’t know about most people but when I cross a barrier that has been daunting to me, I just feel energized!

Today, I have had an extra bounce in my step. I get to tell (anyone who wants to listen) how I broke through this great barrier (as I call it). It’s fantastic that people are coming up to me and they notice the weight loss in my face (no more quadruple chins) and no more gut sticking out like some beer belly bum.

Again, I am just thrilled I have crossed this point in my weight loss journey and I am looking forward to continue this path toward a more healthy lifestyle. If anyone is interested in getting started on this journey, please let me know and I can get you down the path with all the support you need! This is a great feeling that should be shared and since I really feel like I need to help people, let me help you!
